1 Big Cricketing Event

Suntar organized the 1^st ever season ball, day and night, T20 cricket SCL Cup tournament in Mumbai. Team JAGRUT KNIGHT STRIKERS represented Jagrut. The finale was played between Jagrut Knight Strikers and Navdeep Cricketing Champions on Saturday, 19^th April 2014 at Air India ground, Kalina, Satacruz. The match was attended Shri Kripashankar Singhji (MLA) and family and friends of all the participating team, well wishers and members of the Suntar Samaj. Other attraction was Grand Opening Ceremony, Lucky Draw, Exiting Spot Contest and Games, Best Costume, Best Banner and Entertainment for the kids. The event ended with a lavish dinner for all.

T20 cricketing event will be happening every year. We hope more and more people will join us in the future.

Jagrut honours its promise of Free Cataract Operations for the needy detected in the health camp of December.

JAGRUT had done a Medical Camp on Saturday, 14^th December 2013.  In computerized Eye Testing 49 persons were detected for Cataract. We immediately organized a FREE cataract operations for all of them at Kenia Eye Hospital at Santa Cruz (West), Mumbai. The operations were done by latest laser technique and good quality lenses were provided. The operation was done in batches of 5 patients each per day. We hope to share the joy of living with one and all.

Jagrut accomplished a Disability Camp, initiated and supported by Smt. Priya Dutt ji (MP) on 28th January 2014 in which 1429 assistance items were distributed to the needy.

Jagrut did a Disability Camp which was initiated and supported by Smt. Priya Dutt ji (MP) on 28^th January 2014. This camp was especially for those handicap people who could not afford to buy expenses equipments like Hearing Aids, Wheel Chairs, Walking Sticks, Calipers and Braille Slates. All these equipments were distributed FREE of cost to them.

Jagrut received a tremendous response for this camp! We distributed 672 Hearing Aids to the deaf,  and another 749 items which include Wheel Chairs to those who were completely handicap, Walking Sticks to senior citizens, Calipers to polio affected persons and Braille Slates to the blind. Fabrication Items like Crutches were given to 8 people. In all we distributed 1429 assistance items. Jagrut is extremely committed to such events regularly so that more and more people can be benefitted from it.

JAI HO- JAGRUT!

 

24^th January 2014, Mumbai : “Jagrut”, a social and charitable organization spear headed by the President Mr. Narendra Hirani– social activist, firmly engaged in social welfare activities , once again extends their support to the orphaned and street children of our city.

 

 

Jagrut organized a special screening of JAI HO – starring super star SALMAN KHAN on 24^th January 2014 at Globus Cinema, Bandra (W), at 4.30 pm.  250 Orphaned and Street children were present for this special private screening. True to their nature, Smt. Priya Dutt ji (MP) and Super Star Salman Khan mingling and entertained orphaned and street children at this special screening of JAI HO. Gifts and snacks were distributed by them to all the children present for the show.  The sole aim of this show was to bring a smile on each child's face and to motivate them towards a brighter future, just as the protagonist in the movie 'Jai Ho'.

 

This show was a special initiative of Jagrut NGO, who has been striving to brighten the lives through various initiatives in education and healthcare. With this show we kick start our “MAKE THEM SMILE” campaign right from the beginning of the year, and continue throughout the year. It will encourage them to believe that they too can make a difference to the society. It will also bring a social change for their welfare. With the participation of these children from around the city, we hope that the interaction, activities and support of the visitors will enrich them with a beautiful experience. Jagrut not only conducts events but initiates processes that are targeted towards an outcome.

      

     

As for the reaction from the children it was a BIG ‘JAI HO’ for them.

The sole aim of this event is to bring a smile on each child's face and to motivate them towards a brighter future.

With this event we kick start our “MAKE THEM SIMLE” campaign right from the beginning of the year, and continue throughout the year, so that we can bring a smile on thousands of children all over India with your support and blessing.
