Love and compassion
are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive – Dalai Lama.
What a powerful show of love and compassion, one could see
at the free mega-medical camp held on the 14th of December 2013 at Prabodhan
Thackeray Krida Sankul in Vile Parle, Mumbai. The Mega event was organized by Nargis
Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust in association with Jagrut. The camp provided
free general checkups, free cancer screening for women, free cataract surgeries
and free medication. A blood donation camp was also conducted simultaneously. A
phenomenal response of 750+ registrations made the event a success in the
endevour of public health, which is one of the driving force behind both the
NGO organizations.
