EHSAAS an Exhibition in Harmony with Specially Able and Artistic Students was launched by Jagrut on 16th & 17th July 2011 at Navinbhai Thakkar Hall, Vile Parle

Jagrut, a social and charitable organisation spear headed by the President Mr. Narendra Hirani firmly engaged in social welfare and women empowerment activities.  It encourages citizens to bring about social and political harmony through various campaigns and movements. Creating awareness among citizens with a core group of experienced, qualified and dedicated volunteers, Jagrut is spreading the joy of living with one and all.  In the past 2 year it has conducted more than 10 social charitable event ie. Blood Donation Camp, Cricket Tournament in memory of Shaheed Capt. Vinayak Gore from Vile Parle., Cancer Awareness Camp for Women, Celebrated Valentine Day with Orphan Children, Jagjit Singh Show to collect funds for Nagris Dutt Cancer Society, Save Water Campaign & Ban Plastic Campaign



Shri Narendra Hirani wanted to address the issues of children disabilities, as he wanted to create awareness among the public for such students who are Phyiscally, Mentally & Visually challenged, he and his team personally visited many special schools in Mumbai and then it was decided to organise an Exhibition on Art & Craft by this Special Students of various schools called EHSAAS.


EHSAAS an Exhibition in Harmony with Specially Able and Artistic Students was launched by Jagrut on 16th & 17th July 2011 at Navinbhai Thakkar Hall, Vile Parle (E), Mumbai on a note of commitment.   With the support of 29 Special schools from all over Mumbai like Adapt, Hellen Keller, Umang, Muskan Centre, Dilkhush, Anchorage, Violet Wings etc participating and showcasing the talents of their student, EHSAAS takes the motto of ‘I CAN’ one step further.


The  Exhibition was inaugurated by Smt. Priya Dutt ji (MP) on 16th July 2011, it was also visited by many Politicians  like Shri Kripa Shankar Singh ji MRCC President & MLA, Smt. Pallavi Sanjay Patil wife of Shri Shanjay Dina Patil (MP), Shri Parag Alavani (BJP Leader), Shashikant Patkar Shiva Sena Corporator, Johnson Terate Congress Coporator VIPs like Jetendra Jain of NEEV group of Industires, Shri Rakesh Kothari of Riddhi Siddhi Bullion, Shri Kamal Gupta of  J Kumar Groups of Co. Shri Rakesh Sanghvi of Sanghvi Group of Cos. & Film personalites like Shri Jay Bhanusali & Smt. Maye, who were supporting this noble cause.  Fighting the heavy rain more than 10,000 visitors came for the exhibition, making it a very successfully event.


The students exhibited products like bags, books, chocolates, envelopes etc. with all the proceedings from the purchase of items going towards their further development.


Supporting this noble cause Priya Dutt (M.P) shares, “ Jagrut is totally dedicated to the society. They have done many social programs and awareness campaigns and EHSAAS is another humanitarian service by this organisation. Encouraging these challenged children to showcase their works is truly commendable.”


Shri Kripashankar Singh ji appreciated the creativity and dedication of the children and also congratulated Jagrut for this wonderful event.

Shri Parag Alavani BJP Leader from Vile Parle went futher elaborates, “This was the first and only event of such kind and nature which has happened in Vile Parle”.
    

Mr. Narendra Hirani, President – Jagrut further elaborates, “We are not only working towards an exhibition to showcase the talents of these children; but hoping to bring about a social change for their welfare. With the participation of students from around the city, we hope that the interactions, activities and support of the visitors will enrich them with a beautiful and meaningful experience.”

Even the participating schools had something to share. A representative from Mona Remedial Educational Centre said “This is a very good experience being here and would be waiting for next year to come. We enjoyed a lot”


V.D. Indian Society for Mentally Retarded, Malad said “Humanity like this should be go forever. Excellent arrangements without any problems to anyone. Keep it up. God Bless U All.”
  
At the closing ceremony the National Anthem was played by everybody present including the deaf & dumb children with sign language.This program and campaign that is socially oriented, EHSAAS was committed to make sustainable impact to brighten up the lives of these special children.
