Jagrut with a Colourful Palette on Independence Day 15th August 2012, Mumbai

A free drawing competition was organised by Jagrut this Independence Day on a note of commitment to shape the artistic talents of children. Over 1500 students across the city added colour to this event. 100 special students exhibited their special skills. Jagrut is an organisation that not only conducts events but initiates processes that are targeted towards a positive outcome. They aim to bring together different students from various schools and enable them to realise their capability in building the future of the community they belong to. It encourages them to believe that they too can make a difference to the society.

The students showcased their artistic skills to make this Independence more colourful. Students were provided with free drawing kits, snacks, assured return gifts and loads of other prizes. Supporting this noble cause were Ms. Mitul Pradeep ji (Tulika Arts), Smt. Priya Duttji (MP) and many more eminent people of the society. Priya Dutt (M.P) shares, “ Jagrut is totally dedicated to the society. They have done many social programs and awareness campaigns and Colourful Palette is another service by this organisation for children. Encouraging these challenged children to showcase their works is truly commendable.”
